Hibiscus PLC - Leeds HQ Refurb.

Returning customer Hibiscus had previously used Workspace to update the MD’’s office a couple of years ago, with a sit stand desk and a meeting table with chairs.

James got back in touch to say he was looking at updating all the offices including decoration and furniture, and would like us to measure up and do a space plan, see what would fit and discuss their ideas.

We went and met with the entire management team to make sure we captured everyone’s specific wants and needs. Then we got to work with measuring and planning, taking into consideration data and power points, teams who needed to be sat together etc etc. They talked about the zones they wanted to create in the main office. Desking, break out table, and a soft seating area… so a multipurpose space plus what furniture was needed for each space. There were 7 spaces, including private offices, main office and a boardroom/client space.

We created a mood board and layouts for the furniture so they could see what ideas we had based on the meeting – nothing flash, they needed functional areas and weren’t looking to replicate the Google offices, but they did want it to be a breath of fresh air as they welcomed the staff back into the offices from post pandemic working.

The team then visited our showroom, to look and choose finishes and furniture. We discussed all the options, and finalised the detail. As always we did our best to make really easy to go from one phase to the next and thankfully they loved the initial mood board ideas.

We delivered and installed the furniture across a few phases as they had different lead times and some items were required sooner than others.

They added additional items after the first install, all accommodated and sorted, including a bespoke credenza for a fridge in the Boardroom and MD’s office

All in all a great project to work on for a great team of people.

Here’s what James said…

“The Hibiscus renovation project included a complete overhaul of our offices, focusing on creating an environment that fosters creativity, teamwork, and customer engagement. The design team at ‘Workspace Design’ carefully considered our employees’ feedback and integrated elements that promote communication and adaptability.”
